How to approve News & Classifieds

Anyone can submit a news item or classified to the website via the “Contact Us” page.

When they submit a news or classified entry it is saved in the dashboard in a draft format, waiting to be reviewed and published. An automatic email will be sent to the local website admin when an items is added.  

To preview a post:

  1. 1 – Login to the website with the admin login credentials
  2. 2 – Navigate to “Posts” in the left sidebar
  3. 3 – Click on “Posts”  at the top of the page
  4. 4 – Hover the mouse cursor over the post you wish to approve, and click “Preview”

 

To publish a post:

  1. 1 – Navigate to the post in question as in step 1 to 3 in the preview instructions
  2. 2 – Hover the mouse cursor over the post you wish to approve, and click “Quick Edit”
  3. 3 – Click on “Pending Review” in the “Status” dropdown on the right hand side and click “Published”
  4. 4 – Click “Update” to save your changes

 

To edit a post:

  1. 1 – Navigate to the post in question as in step 1 to 3 in the preview instructions
  2. 2 – Hover the mouse cursor over the post you wish to approve, and click “Edit”
  3. 3 – Make the desired changes
  4. 4 – Click “Save as Pending” to save the changes without publication, or “Publish” to save and publish the changes

 

Do not reply to notifications emails, these are automated emails from the website.

 

Posts, Pending and Edit, Quick Edit and Preview options indicated below.
